Just wanted to say again, a massive thanks to all those who made the first day of the Archive & Sample Sale such a smash hit. It was great to see so many friendly and familiar faces alongside so many new ones – it certainly seemed as though both groups left happy!

Just to let those of you who are heading down to Commercial Street tonight for a drink and a shop, we’ll be closing the shop for half an hour or so between 17:00 – 17:30 for a quick spruce up. We’ll be open for business again after that though; this time with some shopping aides (lots of beer).

Supposedly, Laurent Fignon was once asked: “Aren’t you the guy who lost the Tour de France by 8 seconds?” “No,” Fignon answered, “I’m the guy who won it twice.”
Indeed, his first Tour de France victory in 1983 was, incredibly, his first attempt at the famous race – and in only his second year as a pro.

Last weekend I got the chance to go see The Vorticists exhibition at the Tate Britain. I had no idea what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the pieces on show. A mixture of sculptures, sketches, oil paintings and photographs – basically it’s got a bit of everything.
Vorticisim was an avant garde art movement that emerged in London …
